Origins of the Name
Welcome to Koinonia of Life, the web site for Christopher and Elizabeth's wedding, and in the future, where we will store memories of our day and our married life! Koinonia is a Greek word used in the New Testament to mean "fellowship," "partnership," or "communion." Marriage, therefore, is a "koinonia of life"; from the spiritual aspect, it represents our fellowship with Christ throughout our lives and the our shared communion in the spiritual walk ahead of us, as it should be.
Date & Location
Our wedding is set for the 16th of July, 2009 in Santa Barbara, California. The event venue will most likely be Elings Park, though we have yet to decide on which location at the park. As we are still in the initial stages of planning, expect there to be more changes and updates.
About the Site
This site exists to give our family, friends, and guests a chance to see and take part in our planning process. It also contains information about Santa Barbara, our lovely hometown and the site of our wedding, directions, hotels, and other details for those coming from out of town.
As we get further in our planning process, we will update this site with more information, pictures, and other miscellaneous details. We have tried to make things as straightforward as possible, but if anything is unclear or missing, please let us know!
